General Rules & Regulations

General Rules & Regulations

At Velammal Vidhyashram School, we have established the following rules and regulations to ensure the safety, well-being, and academic success of all our students:

Care of Personal Belongings

- Pupils are responsible for the care of their personal belongings, including books, pens, lunch bags, and any other articles they may carry to school.
- Students are discouraged from wearing expensive jewelry or gold ornaments to school, as the school management takes no responsibility for their loss.

Attendance and Conduct

- Irregular attendance, habitual idleness, neglect of work, disobedience or disrespect to teachers and staff, and bad moral influence upon other children are grounds for dismissal from the school.
- Pupils should observe rules of courtesy and good behavior at all times.

Cleanliness and Orderliness

- Cleanliness and orderliness are qualities that every parent must ensure in their children.
- Any form of anti-social behavior by pupils will result in expulsion from the school. Parents are requested to carefully note the communication of the teacher in the "Note to the Parents" section of the school handbook.

Parental Communication

- Parents are requested not to enter classrooms to speak to teachers during working hours. All inquiries and complaints should be discussed after 4:00 p.m. at the Principal's Office.
- Leave is not granted except on written application from parents. In case of absence due to sickness or other emergencies, a leave application must be sent to the school on the first day of absence. No half-day leave or permission to go home during school hours will be granted except in case of emergency at the direction of the principal, and a written request from parents is necessary in such cases.

At Velammal Vidhyashram School, we uphold these rules and regulations to create a safe, orderly, and conducive learning environment for all our students. We appreciate the cooperation of parents in ensuring that these guidelines are followed for the benefit of our school community.
